Light in Buddhism symbolizes application, usage, function and "benefiting - oneself as well as others".
Light brings brightness and warmth to the world.
Fire is the element and light is the utility.
Fire, together with water, air and earth are the four elements of life.
Thank you son, for reminding mom the beauty of living.

I don't know if this salt lamp works, but it definitely makes a great replacement for our nightlight.
